  •  Not the members of the party... (none)
...but the leaders. I'm of the opinion that the people in charge of the Democratic party do not want to win. If they did, they'd be screaming bloody murder.

If you're a Congresscritter in a safe district (which most of them are - 99% of Representatives win re-election and many run unopposed) - why would you want things to change? You're well off, you have job security, you're not adversely affected by the changes the Republicans are making, and you have no responsibility. You can't be blamed for anything. There's very little motivation to rock the boat.

People get the government they deserve.

    •  I think you're wrong and I gave you examples (none)
Our mayor, Senator Obama, our state senator... all people who don't have to do a damn thing more in their lives if they don't want to.  They're the leaders of the party.  They care.
      •  Three examples out of how many? (none)
Sure, there are exceptions. But those three aren't even really leaders of the party (a mayor, a freshman senator, a state senator?).

What does Dianne Feinstein care? What does Joe Lieberman care? What does Terry McAuliffe care? What does James Carville care? It's a game to him.

People get the government they deserve.
