    My mention has a different point than Mike seems to want to make.

    That does not mean he is wrong to make it, merely that it is really not directly responsive to the points I was making.

    do we still have a Republic and a Constitution if our elected officials will not stand up for them on our behalf?

      or grading their job performances or anything.  But this diary elaborates on King's analysis of the pathologies of militarism, racism and capitalism, then quotes Obama referring to King himself in his Nobel address, and then discusses Obama and his position in comparison/conjunction with King and his.

      I'm not trying to assign Mike's analysis to you at all.  I'm just pointing out that Mike isn't coming to a diary that has nothing to do with Obama and posting an off-topic comment about Obama.  It seems to me that his speculation about King WRT to Obama is fair game in this diary, even if one doesn't agree with it.
