  •  Congratulations (7+ / 0-)

You have chosen to shoot the messenger rather than listen to the message. The messenger is telling you something very important about the discontent with Obama and the Democrats that is building amongst many out here in the grassroots. And rather than listen to these people and adjust tactics, or help to pressure the Democrats to move more to the left, you instead choose to beat the messengers over the head with the latest talking points fed to you by the DNC/OFA.

And even though those talking points bear no acquaintance with reality, they work well enough for you to explain away the discontent as the malicious and impatient behavior of others. Good luck with that. It may make you feel better about yourself, but it's a terrible strategy for winning elections.

    •  Whatever (0+ / 0-)

It is just horrible to ask folks to look beyond the immediate talking point of the day posted by republican hacks to actually mention to some who are disenchanged that Obama is the MOST liberal President we have had in decades, and that he has actually accomplished a great deal towards moving the political needle away from the hard right.

Yeah it is a crime to ask people to be patient and support change.

Be miserable because nothing will ever be perfect,  focus on the negative,  and keep losing. That's my message to the left of the left.

it's a post by a Republican hack.  I agree with the diary and I agree with Heart of the Rockies.  A lot of us do.

You need to go back to Heart of the Rockies' original comment and actually process the information.  I live in Texas and I'm seeing exactly the same thing, very liberal, progressive people living in a very Red State. It's not easy.  Try and put yourself in our shoes and then respond.

Of course, missliberties, perhaps you are the Republican hack?  Maybe your goal is to silence the progressives so that we don't help further the agenda?

Change does take time but it also takes brave people and brave stances.
