  •  It will not take care of the problems with CARE (0+ / 0-)

    There are more problems with the system than access.

    We are in a time where it is risky NOT to change. Barack Obama 7-30-08

      using the same non-discriminatory rules.

      1.  Doing that will that eliminate inefficient middlemen and utilize efficiencies of scale (solving cost and access problems);
      1. It will also allow everyone equal access to choose any licensed provider.  That's exactly the kind of competition we need to improve the care side of the equation (solving quality problems);
      1.  Uniting everyone into the same group under the same rules will create the transparency we need (but sorely lack) to begin to be able to solve any and all of our health care related problems.

      Nothing human beings do will ever be perfect, but we could sure do a helluva lot better than we're doing now....and every other civilized nation on Earth knows it.

    •  very true (0+ / 0-)

      The main problem is that we are not approaching this issue from a rational standpoint as a problem to be solved. In fact, none of the problems we collectively face are even close to being approached using reasonable problem-solving techniques.
