the right wing pseudo para-military gun nut who may or may not have a gun than any thug of the street. I don't  know, there is an element of paranoia in your comment. It may be me, but I seldom hear about folks being found dead with a gunshot in the back of the head.

I wrote a silly gbcw diary but could only stay away two weeks. DK is just going to have to deal with me!

I'm a firearm instructor. EVERY SINGLE FIREARM INSTRUCTOR I know is a right wing conservative.

      Talk about feeling alone.

It's not paranoia by the way, just an honest appraisal of what could happen.

Not just the instructors either, 80% of the people at the range too.

If I ever have anywhere near the skills to be an instructor, I'll become one, just so you won't be alone.

there's still, uh, people who unfortunately conform to the conservative stereotype.

But, c'mon.  The Bay Area is still the Bay Area.

liberals are picking up guns. The head instructor usually bashes Dems and Obama specifically.

The class before last (or was it two classes ago), he was told to lay off in the reviews because people were Democrats.

FWIW, my last NRA instructor was REALLY good.  And VERY apolitical.  He was an older guy and I think he comes out of that wold where hunting and guns are just what people do regardless of party (I'm in Missouri).

OTH I had an employee at a local indoor range/gun shop call me out for a t-shirt (it had no real overt political message but referenced Dr. King).  So I just asked him "okay, hey can you go ask your boss if my t-shirt means my money's not green enough?  Because I have no problem spending it at Cabella's and the State DNR range.  They're cheaper."

I noticed that I haven't seen that guy working there the last two visits.

    •  pseudo right wing gun nuts... (0+ / 0-)

or thugs in the street may already be armed (probably armed? Does that make me paranoid?)so I worry about them already.  I don't open carry because I don't want the reaction that is so prevalent here:"That's a gun! Are you going to shoot me?"  I conceal my gun to AVOID scaring people with it, contrary to the misguided belief of some posting here.
