  •  Oh, come on. You never read Appendix M (5+ / 0-)

    Don't BS us!

For instance, stress positions are not in Appendix M, or the field manual as a whole (though they aren't specifically banned, either).

You say the techniques aren't shocking, but they have been condemned by all the major human rights groups (Amnesty, PHR, CCR, ACLU, Constitutional Project, etc.).

You've said nothing, either, about the use of drugs, even drugs that will serious alter perception and conscisousness, as along as they don't cause "permanent" damage. Or the creation of new phobias and fears, not just the exploitation of existing ones. This is not only shocking, it's fascistic.

    •  Your link lists stress positions (0+ / 0-)

indefinite isolation, and limiting sleep to 4 hours a night.

The fact is that these techniques aren't shocking and most of America would expect them to be used on terrorist suspects.

You can destroy Obama and call him a torturer, but in the end, it's irresponsible not to explicitly list what is in Appendix M if you're going to do that.

But you didn't list it, because you know people here wouldn't be shocked, and most of America wouldn't be shocked.

You tried to hide the information at a link rather than being clear, because you knew your argument doesn't hold up under scrutiny.

This is what liberals like you do to Democrats like Obama, and its why Republicans like Bush win elections.

Americans like you don't get to separate morality from the real world consequences of their actions. You live a cozy nerf life and you've never put your physical well being on the line to end torture or abuse.

You don't have the moral right to destroy Obama's presidency via these insincere accusations. You're part of the problem at this point in America, not the solution... and you'll remain the problem until you start addressing these issues responsibly and putting your claims in context for everyone to see plainly.

Until you do that, your argument is adolescent, spoiled, divorced from reality, and ultimately immoral.
