  •  I think you make a good point (12+ / 0-)

After months of railing against the bill, for example, FDL reps are saying the bill must be passed. I really think it damages one's credibility.

It would be one thing to acknowledge the change of heart but quite another to ignore this nearly complete 360 in approach.

To be fair, there is an inaccuracy in your diary, however. She did not team up with Norquist to kill the healthcare bill. She teamed up with Norquist to target Rahm Emmanuel by encouraging the DOJ to appoint an independent prosecutor (Ken Starr) to investigate him.

Apparently, Ken Starr didn't do enough damage to the democratic party the first time around and Jane wanted to give him another go.

So although FDL reps are no longer telling us the bill must be killed (and instead saying the bill must not be killed), they are still working with Norquist.

And the real hypocrisy here is that they bashed us for quite awhile over our reality based, pragmatic approach to this, our willingness to accept the less-than-perfect over the very bad. They told us we lacked ideals, we didn't stand for anything, we weren't progressive.

I guess we're supposed to forget that they all said that as they push us to support Coakley? (As if we were the ones who needed pushing. We pragmatists were always going to support Coakley. It's their side that needed convincing--which meant undoing the damage they worked so hard to do.)

Maybe Jane had a flashback to the Bush administration and suddenly remembered Republicans really are worse than even lame Democrats.

and we were positively excoriated.  seems the realist position has been the most consistent, as opposed to screaming "no compromises!" 'til the cows come home only to say "well, okay.  let's pass it" later.  but they're the only ones with integrity or progressive cred.  or something.

The problem with people who need to follow leaders is that they need to follow leaders.

      •  I did not mention her or any specific person (5+ / 0-)

I did not even mention "people posting at Daily Kos." I meant FDL reps telling democrats.

Jane herself is no longer saying kill the bill, at least according to the quote I read. Instead she seems to be saying it should be modified.

I don't think anyone ever disagreed that it is in great need of revision. The bill has a lot of problems.

          •  I did not say "here" (4+ / 0-)

            You did.

And that's my last word to you. You are consistently annoying and never even attempt to discuss anything constructively. You're like a robotic attack dog permanently switched on.

and so on, blah blah ...

dishonest crap there, catm.  do you even read what you type?

just be out about your maligning, obsessive tactics... much easier than defending yourself against comments that are only two up.

              •  Do you know English? (3+ / 0-)

                "The real hypocrisy here is..."

Here does not refer to a place. It is a stand-in for "in this situation."

Like saying, "The real tragedy here" when discussing a bad situation.

What is your problem? Seriously? You attack people because you have a poor grasp of how language is used?

"they" who shall not be named.  "they" who we all know who you're talking about, trying to get the last bit of mileage out of those dogs.

you really did a botched up job, apparently trying to skirt the line between calling out NYCeve and slinkerwink b/c you're at least smart enough to know that no one cares about that shit anymore.

re: your insults on my english comprehension skills ... i read you all too well.
