If people like the diarist had seen trouble brewing back in November and started raising alarm bells, it would have been CONSTRUCTIVE.

Is it constructive on the eve of the election?

Hell, the only reason this race is close is because the teabaggers are out of their minds with excitement.  They have been bombarding us with signs and screams.

Until a couple of weeks ago, I heard no one - not a soul up here in Massachusetts or on cable - saying that the election was anything more than a formality to put a D in Kennedy's seat.

DK is an interesting site and frequently informative, but it deals very harshly with non-consensus thought.

          We'll agree to disagree.

Clarion alarms for Coakley in November and December would have been welcomed by me, for one.

Meanwhile, diaries like this do nothing positive at this point.  They are non-productive.

I looked at the diarist's previous works.  I see nothing to warn us of what was going to happen in MA.

I have not posted regularly on Kos for a while.  And I certainly have not posted about this election.

But one of the reasons no one blogged about this is that Brown didn't close the gap until about a week ago.

I can be mad at Coakley and her team or I can be mad at myself for not taking the teabaggers seriously enough.

I choose to be mad at myself rather than Monday morning quarterbacking when I probably would have called a similar game plan.

Of course, right now, I choose to spend the next hours working my ass off to try to win this thing.

I'll analyze on Wednesday, my birthday, because win or lose, there are some serious things the Democrats are going to have to do...

And I've honestly got to wonder if I give a rat's ass anymore.  I knew the insidious danger of WTKK and the rest of the right-wing echo machine, but I always held out hope that MA would remain better than to fall into the zombie legions...

Look, the Daily Kos is a worthwhile site, but it is no less orthodox and scornful of outliers than the wingnut sites.
