as a way to get more healthcare?  I don't buy it.

They already have healthcare reform in MA.

care. They wanted a public option to drive competition and hence lower their health insurance premiums. They already have all the health care they need and Baucus' crappy bill really doesn't help them. Their actions indicate that they preferred Brown and no HCR over Baucus' crappy bill. They sent the message that the WH, regardless of what they say now, did say they were for a PO on the campaign trail. Bottom line, MA voters have sent the message -you don't have my back, then I don't have yours.

The real question is whether the WH, Congress and Senate are smart enough to get it. For all the spin on the VA governor fiasco, Dems seemed to miss the point that Deeds didn't start to tank until he said he would opt VA out of the public option if he were elected. Polling in VA also showed that the majority of voters wanted a PO.
