  •  You honestly believed this was going to be easy? (6+ / 0-)

Didn't Obama warned that it wasn't going to be easy, if it was it would have been done already.  Wonder why bush didn't tackle it during his 8 years and other president couldn't get it done?  And you guys thought Obama was just going it get this complicated and complex legislature done in just six months after he was sworn in.

    Unrealistic expectations abound around here.

"I know what needs to be done...now make me do it."

Did we think he was full of shit when he was saying that?  Just being dramatic?  He knew.  Lots of us didn't, apparently.  The art of holding elected feet to fire is new for a lot of progressives, who historically have operated from a more outsider posture, but we'll get it figured.

done in the past six months?

i am sick to death of the disparagement of others motivation/participation because they have a different analysis.

respond to the analysis or stfu.

they shouldn't have promised it to get elected.

Now they are going to have to pay the price for not doing JACK!

Obama said he wanted it as a candidate, showed some passion for it, then as President took a very hands-off attitude toward the whole process, barely weighing in at all and in a conciliatory and not very progressive way when he did.

Well, hopefully he's seen that that isn't going to be a winning strategy and will be a bit more vocal about pushing for good reform, as he is with financial reform. There's a huge fund of goodwill out there for a Fightin' Obama, just as there's not so much for Cipher Obama. Let Obama start pushing strongly for the things he campaigned on and you'll see a lot of the disgruntled people here and elsewhere cheering for him again.

    •  Yeah (0+ / 0-)

Who kind of fool would have thought that by controlling the White House, the House of Representatives, and the Senate would actually enable the Democrats to, you know, legislate or something.
