  •  more than you'd think (only slightly serious) (none)
    Just how many pairs of shoes does one person need?

    About 1/3 the number of outfits you own. I used to be an anti-shoe person - Doc Martens were fine for every occasion - but I realized something in the last two years: shoes make the outfit. You can be wearing the coolest home-made handknit sweater, the snazziest bespoke suit, the niftiest vintage little black dress, and if you don't have the shoes to go with it, the whole thing goes to shit.

    </less serious missive about shoes>

    Ask Copernicus about pushing limits.

    •  I guess it makes sense (none)
      but since I'm a stay at home mom my "outfits" are usually stained t-shirts and grubby shorts.  I don't think even a pair of $500 pumps could spruce it up.

      One day I'll be a grown up in the real world day....

      How do I explain this? I mean how do I put this into words? It's one thing or another but it's neither this nor that. Actually it's a collection of things.
