U.S. formally embraces Copenhagen climate deal

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States on Thursday formally notified the United Nations that it has embraced the Copenhagen Accord setting nonbinding goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions that was negotiated last month.

link here, which makes one wonder what all last month's hoopla was actually about.

      •  Speaking of the Copenhagen and the IPCC - - (0+ / 0-)

There's a reason why the BRIC or BASIC nations don't wish to sign on -
        ESPECIALLY INDIA.
The process has huge question marks.
I pointed out one only to be blasted by you and your friends.

I haven't seen you post about Pachauri, the IPCC, and Himalayan glaciers recently.
If you recall, you said this to me - -

That report was released for reasons of internal

India politics, which I don't claim to follow, and was debunked very fast:  Report not peer reviewed, few scientific citations

Yeah, actually, I did believe the head of the

IPCC.  And yeah, I do believe in the peer reviewed system.  It's called science.  I know we've had run ins before; I know you're skeptical about climate change but don't like to be labeled a denier; I don't want to argue with you any more.

It seems as though the material lacking peer review was the IPCC assertion.

(I use the Guardian since it has a strong AGW editorial position.)

And you gave me a chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Care to offer a mild mea culpa?
