  •  Yep. I'm in the CA-12, and the local party is (0+ / 0-)

really, really not in any way interested in anything progressive. The local infrastructure is a "wine and brie, KQED" kind of liberal.

I quit volunteering for them about 20 years ago, it's like a big, big country club where Muffy and Scooter pick whom to admit into The Club. We can win seats in SF, since there are district elections, but for something as big as the House seat, well, "rocking the boat" is such a bad idea when it might make waves...

All evil needs to succeed is for good people to say "the votes aren't there in the Senate."

    •  I agree... (0+ / 0-)

The lower peninsula is really like that... when I said progressive in my previous comment, its more like 'heavily democrat'

we started a Drinking liberally chapter on the peninsula and seems like unless its some organized function with.. like you said 'wine & brie' Peninsula democrats are just not interested.

I went to the town hall Jackie had back in Aug and whle there were definately an overwhelming amount of lefties in the crowd, the birthers & 'dont kill  my grandma' people were out in strong numbers.

I would hate to lose a true progressive like her to an AG seat.
