    coming together and compromising....

"stupid torts"...agree with you on that

"that add 1%""...you forgot to add the costs for defensive medicine to prevent torts, but why let facts get in the way....

Just talk to the Doctors and ask them their number one concern (right behind taking a 21% cut due to the Medicare)

RIP Obamacare as of Feb 11th...

    •  There is no such thing as "defensive medicine" (0+ / 0-)

Only what someone, be it the insurer, government or the individual will pay for.  Less than 3% is "pro bono" or offered for free. Hospitals is 1.0% to keep their reimbursement and participation in various plans up to date and active.

      So much for that theory.

If you know anything about doctors you would know the average physician has been losing 1% of their net income each year (less than the prior year) for the past SEVERAL YEARS.

That's why many of them are abandoning their current practice and going into "boutique" or exclusive limited prepaid practice groups.

For certain specialties the squeeze from insurers is far worse.  The shortages in surgeons of certain kinds is worse than ever, even as they can only collect 27%   !!!  of their billings.

The economics  of health care professionals especially doctors is in disarray and facing hard times unless there is a major transform.

cast away illusions, prepare for struggle
