    to sustainability. I don't know if that's "sexy".

    Ultimately, producing energy used right in the place it's going to be consumed makes more sense than continue to build and support the infrastructure necessary to transport it. Decentralization brings diversity, scalability, national security, builds back up American made manufacturing, and can be done in a way minimizes ecological damage.  

    Maybe that it is "sexy", after all.

      a focus on the macro and denial of the micro?  As if the macro could be other than the sum of the micro.

      For me that's exactly what's wrong with the health care bills in Congress.  Financing (insurance) can never make the unaffordable affordable.
