  •  I suggest you do some research (0+ / 0-)

As a comparative, you should take the EU in total - as there is a similar level of economic development, a population one and a half times the US, and to a certain degree share a heritage.

very fact that women in many countries are considered chattel.

Which countries are you referrring to? On what experience or data do you base these accusations? And more importantly, how do you think RBKA type rights could possibly help them?

My bags are packed, I'm ready to go. I'm standing here outside the door.

picking and choosing the countries you like is exactly the point.

the countries i refer to are not european and you know it.   there are numerous books on the subject of violence against women in other countries unattached to the EU.

as for the rkba's ability to help citizens of other nations, that isn't what the rkba is about.  read the mission statement again.

try again, you'll get no more answers from me.

      •  If you are done why come back? (0+ / 0-)

Why do you wish to compare the US with Rwanda, or Saudi Arabia, or Somalia.

I offered Europe as somethng comparable - predominantly white and Christian, absence of civil wars, no tribalism.

Veering off into women's rights in radically different cultures doesn't advance the arguments about gun ownership in the US. I am happy to debate that subject also, but in a different diary.
