    My point is that we need to stop the circular firing squad and stop assuming that "the electorate" is all like we are.

    First, most people are pretty ignorant about what's going on, and easily duped by misinformation.

    Second, most people don't pay nearly as close attention as we do to policy issues.

    Third, most people don't have nearly the partisan leanings (or hatred of GOP) that Kossacks do.

    When was the last time you talked to someone who thinks different from you, and challenged your worldview?

      point of view.  People like me who lean toward the left side don't exactly have lots of allies out there!  That doesn't mean I am going to bend my opinion to make it more "centrist" though.  I talked to many voters the past the decade.  I went door to door for over a dozen campaigns, worked telephones, wrote letters, etc... How about you?  How engaged have you been with talking with voters?
