    ...to see what the effects of DADT would be on the military before it was implemented? I didn't think so.

      Actually, that's part of the problem. They didn't plan the implementation and Clinton got snookered.

      The armed forces ALREADY banned gays and lesbians. DADT just codified it into law. It was supposed to stop witch hunts and protect G&L personnel if they stayed in the closet, but that's not how it was implemented.

      We WANT the Pentagon to prepare adequately for implementation this time. It's in the best interests of LGBT personnel to have proper regulations and training.
