    I recall that, in Iraq, we dismantled their army and sent them packing. Our military people then realized their mistake and decided to allow ex-military Iraqi's to serve as law officers and such. No doubt our guys in the military were dead set against that as they were the enemy. Still, they followed orders and accepted it. It didn't take a year to implement either. The order was given and, being military, they did what they were told...exactly like it's supposed to happen. I suggest the same process would apply to gays openly serving. I mean, come on, it's not like our military guys don't know gays are there. They know they serve. Duh.
