    When you hear "volcanic ash", don't you think of something like the ash left after burning wood?

    Well, not so much. I lived through the Mt. St. Helen's eruption in WA state, in an area which got 1-3 inches of "ash" on the ground. Thing is, that "ash" is sand. Grains exactly like sand.

    Imagine having your driveway and sidewalks covered by 1-3 inches of sand. It is incredibly heavy, and somewhat awkward to move.

    I have these great pictures which look like they were taken with black and white film, but actually are the normal surroundings of my home.

    This health care system is a moral atrocity. Dr. Ralphdog
