    wishy-washy request.

To "consider contributing" is an invitation to DO nothing.  Unless you happen to be one of those people who take the thought for the act.  You know, like "it's the thought that counts."

An "amazing" Senator is not what we need, also.  What's needed in Washington is stewardship.  Good stewardship is unobtrusive, not "amazing."

The use of "would" invites the response "but won't."  Presumably, that's not what you intend.  So, lose the subjunctive.

A verb is in the subjunctive mood when it expresses a condition which is doubtful or not factual.

As a request for money, this comment is a loser.  You, an unknown individual, are looking for others to follow your lead?  That might work with groupies and there may be some here.  But, I doubt there are many.

Btw, "get over it" is a rude injunction.  Never mind that public servants are supposed to serve, not give orders.

How do you tell a predator from a protector? The predator will eat you sooner rather than later.
