  •  Massachusetts is not a blue state. (0+ / 0-)

If your state elects a GOP senator at a time like this, they are clearly not a blue state.

Massachusetts rewarded the GOP for their obstructionism.

    •  I actually do not think that is what happened, (2+ / 0-)

and I am from Mass. Scott Brown portrayed himself as a moderate, but he is not. Massachusetts is furious at the Democrats for being so wimpy and doing nothing. Martha Coakley ran an arrogant and bad campaign even though she herself is a good person and a good attorney genera. I think if Scott Brown goes down the line with Republican obstructionism and ridiculousness, he cannot be re-elected in 2 years - the public won't put up with it. Having said that, the Democratic candidate for senate better fight very hard (and the Democrats had better have governed better by that time; not that I think Republcians govern well -- they do not).

Coakley ran a horrible campaign. Scott is no moderate, "independent", and the people who voted for him will find that out quickly. Capuano will likely replace him.

MA did not reward the GOP, Coakley screwed up her campaign.
