    anyone who espouses energy independence or green energy and opposes nuclear energy is simply not serious. Perhaps nuke energy can be a bridge but it is the only reliable, affordable, scalable energy source besides fossil fuels we currently have on the table.

      However, I emphasize again I think we really, really need big government involvement in this one.  LOTS of oversight, regulation, etc.

      I would never have trusted the idea under Bush.

        and while I am not a scholar on the matter, i am not aware that they are inadequate. As for the admin in question. A policy is only as good as its language and authority. Unfortunately we don't get to pick which regulations or policies are off the table under different admins when we don't like them.
