    some people use the "civility" as a cover to do a more subtle form of bullying. A way to silence those they dont agree with. If you say something they dont agree with you're being "uncivil", "negative" etc. That exact dynamic is how the gop took over the public discussion. Pressuring democrats to be "civil" and "obey social conventions" while themselves blatantly breaking them. Bullying with social pressure is easily more prevalent here and everywhere than "people being mean and making me nervous"

      Crass bullies A, B and C harass you until you can't take it anymore, and fight back with fists or words of rage.

      Then polite bullies E, F and G (who are friends of A, B  & C) run to the nearest teacher/administrator to report your bad behavior.  And hey, it's thee witnesses against your word - who is the adult going to believe?

      I'm a part of the reality-based community, not the personality-based community.
