  •  It happened to me when I had a stroke (5+ / 0-)

at age 21.  I got over the damage from the stroke alright, but afterwards not a single private health insuruer would touch me.   That meant no private employer would hire me, either.  So much for MIT.  This was in 1985.

Good thing my state has excellent coverage.   I'm lucky to have it, and try not to use it to excess.

I campaigned for Obama, too, mainly because I  feel America really needs a public option at least.  I hope the President's not holding back on it because of those already rich, for-profit hospitals with their imported marble floors and their billionaire donors.   Haven't they ever heard of belt-tightening?  I already dropped their lobbyists a nasty e-mail, for all they're going to care with what they get paid.

How could the President  sell us out like that?

It's better you get to meet the President tomorrow than me.  I'm so upset, I'd probably let my big mouth get the best of me and not only offend a man who I truly do still respect mightily, but also have my ass hauled off by the Secret Service.

    You're a better gal than I am, allie 123.

Home is where the dog is.
