    Remember, the progressive value is to see the good in government

    The progressive value is to seek the truth about the government then to work towards improving it as needed.

    Not all members of a government have to be bought for it to become dysfunctional - just enough of them.

    An aside - to arrive at an accurate number the definition of bought would have to be defined - the baseline is pay to play. I would class someone as bought if they acted solely in the interests of their sponsors whenever there was a conflict of interests between said sponsors and constituents.

    Harry Reid's lack of backbone is an act, his obstructionism isn't.
