    But I still got Krugman on his early fearmongering-- "Vote for Obama and there won't be health care."  It's how 2+ year grudges begin. :-)

      why no focus on the 15 mil people who will go without health insurance. I am not sure why that's something to smile about.

      When Hillary's health care plan became Obama's health care plan, that changed matters.

      This is how these proposals work in a campaign: They're not actual legislation, they're not supposed to become law by themselves. They're concrete bits of policy to advertise what the candidate would push for if elected. The whole point is to set up the conversation like so: “Elect me and this will happen.” “Elect me, and this will happen instead.” Of course, it's not really so simple. But Krugman can only go by what the candidates propose; how can you compare them on policy if you don't assume they won't reverse themselves?
