  •  Thanks Ken (3+ / 0-)

I have been anxiously awaiting your review. I will purchase the book and share with coworkers.
I am attending a community meeting this afternoon regarding the hiring of a new superintendent in our progressive-minded little village in southwest Ohio. We are a small district, with one elementary and one middle-high school (with same principal). We are in a unique position as all three administration positions are open at the same time. We have some new Board members who are young, innovative, intelligent and willing to listen to concerned villagers. And they have young children in our schools. There are many interesting and progressive ideas that have been put forth regarding the importance of hiring administrators who will work as a "team" and the vetting process needed to hire the "right" people. I think the process (and results of the process) could be interesting to persons with interests in education reform.
BTW, the village in which I reside is not the district in which I teach.

    •  nor do I live where I teach (0+ / 0-)

although I did teach in Arlington where I live for one year, but then chose to go back to my position at the high school where I have now been for 11 of the past 12 years.

do we still have a Republic and a Constitution if our elected officials will not stand up for them on our behalf?
