      about 22 years ago, after we first met, and he described his ideal woman, and i laughed at him and said it would never happen.  

      and i was right - barely.  she's roman catholic and he's lutheran.  everything else is almost exactly spot on.  

      dkos needs a lonely hearts club or something, between you and webranding.  ;-)  

      one of my stepbrothers is also unhappily single at age 42.  but he is in rural iowa.  at least you have some opportunities for social interaction.

        ....I can articulate who would be a good match for me, besides the obvious (bit of a culture vulture and such), but when we met and started talking, and as the conversation went on, I realized that "wow, she's great".  But then she mentioned having the long-distance bf very briefly, in passing, so I took the hint.
