    I had semi-snarky thoughts that the one Charles Wuorinen piece might be enough to scare off subscribers, but obviously bad weather is another factor.

      intermission.  Even Bartok is a bit too contemporary for most of these subscribers.

        Tends to be the pattern, to put the modern piece in the 1st half and save the crowd-pleaser for the 2nd half.
