  •  My thyroid was removed in '80. (8+ / 0-)

I've fought doctors on and off ever since.  I had one who refused to even entertain the idea that my lengthy list of classic hypothyroid symptoms had anything to do with my dose.  He suggested that it was because I was "perimenopausal" and that I might want to take some antidepressants and "talk to somebody."  I wanted to slap him.  I strong-armed in him into upping my dose, et voila!, I was just fine.  Creep.

Know your body.  Find a doctor who'll listen.

fighting for another 12 micrograms a day.  Glad you made it through, CJB.  I still hope to join you on the side of life.

w/teh google, you'll find report after report that says that there are people who just do much better when they're numbers are somewhat supressed.  They have no adverse symptoms at all.  I don't know why it's so hard for doctors to work with that.

Good luck to you, KateCrashes.  It can be so dibilitating.
