     decides on his chief of staff. President Obama clearly didn't care that Rahm wasn't on his side in 2000 and didn't play an active role in 2004.

     If he doesn't care, then I see no reason why I should.

     If we don't get health care reform, I will want him gone...but for that reason...not b/c he is too mean for the President's image.

      I do care if he was there for Obama because the Chief-of-Staff should have loyalty to one person: the President. Emanuel has loyalty to one person: Emanuel.

          if the President doesn't give a damn...then why would you? It's not an elected position..Emanuel serves at the President's pleasure.

          He wanted a Washington man. He wanted someone from Illinois. He wanted someone who didn't have his chummy  get along with everyone personality.

          In Emanuel, he got all three. If he wants to get rid of him, so be it. But it's his decision...his chief of staff. Emanuel has not done anything yet that smacks of disloyalty to President Obama.
