the $2000 plane fare to fly to Australia if they can't afford $200 (for example) in medications?

    •  Are you talking to me? (0+ / 0-)

people here who are in that situation (and Ive been in it myself so i know) are in a really serious, in many cases, potentially life threatening situation. They absolutely should not be leaving their support network (if they have one) and I doubt if any foreign nation would admit, even on a tourist visa, somebody who was obviously destitute except as a refugee. (and Australia I think houses refugees on an island thousands of miles from its shores)

This is OUR nation's problem, and we ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO SOLVE IT.

I think many people were lazy, they expected politicians to tell them the truth (they don't they tell them whatever they need to to GET THEIR VOTE) and many expected their own situations to improve after a temporary "recession" but have been surprised that they haven't.

All i can say is what I tell myself, I have to get better, I have to learn more. I have to do this myself.

Nobody else is going to solve this problem for us. If we want REAL change, we are not going to have it dropped in our laps.

Selling Insurance across State Lines triggers NAFTA-like provisions in the GATS treaty that potentially makes affordable healthcare impossible!
