He's apparently running for Senate (wants Blanche Lincoln's seat - unfortunately the only difference would be head count for who gets "leadership") which makes the District 3 seat an "open" race - but it's been held by Rs since before the Civil War (an exaggeration, but not by much).  He's polite.  He listens.  He even responds.  And he votes R Party line, no questions - when R leadership says "jump" he asks how high on the way up.  Fundies love him.  It's gawd's will that 10 women die from lack of necessary abortions - but you better save those cells in teh petry dish.  You know the type.

Boozman is my rep too, he kicks R old school. No obvious nutjob tendencies, smart enough to keep his mouth shut, and votes with the party at all times.

He does respond to your emails, more than I can say for B. Lincoln, and those emails will invariably contain a laundry list of talking points, not necessarily related to the email he is replying to.

you contacted him about, it will start with the phrase "as you may know" - and finish with some form of "we'll have to agree to disagree".

          As you may know,

You're a filthy, tree-hugging, commie, pinko hippie, who has never voted for me or, more importantly, sent me any money. Representin' aint cheap, you know, and you don't get nothing for free, nowadays.

I have no intention of answering your questions, since I haven't recieved anything from the RNC that specifically pertains to the situation you were concerned about. While you may find this annoying beyond measure, I have found it to be the safest way to avoid the unpleasantness of acctually having an opinion. It has been my experience that nothing good comes from that sort of silliness.

          Agreeing that you're disagreeable,

          Rep. Boozman
