    election system that left us with 4, 5, 6 and even 12 hours lines in 2004 because of the ineptitude (?) of J. Kenneth Blackwell, and assured that we did not see a repeat in 2008. She found a demoralized office more interested in evagelizing than in running smooth elections. She even found anti-abortion buttons in her state car!

    I worked feverishly to elect her in 2006 (her Republican opponent was the son of Dick Cheney's lawyer — imagine HIM running Ohio's 2008 elections!) and got to know her pretty well. She hasn't let me down with her work in office, and I think she'd be an outstanding senator. In 2008, the Republicans threw one spurious lawsuit after another at her, hoping to be able to disenfranchise a lot of urban, minority and lower-income people, and she beat back every one. She would be another Sherrod Brown.
