      Amazon is real good. I guess I would check the authors name. If it an Idian name then ususally it is good. If not I would be skeptical.

      Julie Sahni's Classic Indian Cooking, Meera Taneja's The Indian Epicure, four of the cute little Nita Mehta cookbooks, Spice Village's A Celebration of Spices, and Viji Varadarajan's Vegetarian Samayal of South India.

        I have a massive cookbook collection, but it is heavy on the Mediterranean and American regional cooking.  I do have the Sahni book and like it.  I would like to get a little more familiar with Indian cuisine.
