    The problem with your argument is that it leads to short-term thinking.  

    We actually have to win in the long run.  Continuous preemptive compromise, even if it wins those "incremental improvements" of "actual legislation", saddled Democrats with a politically disastrous situation which is likely to lead to outright fascist takeover.  

    Again, we need 400 like Dennis.  :-(  If the legislation is truly a historic victory, by all means go for the compromise (and Kucinich DOES).  But is it, or is it not?

    If you read Kucinich's most recent statement, it's a bit of a coded "For goodness sake, you don't think I can back down until they've actually given me something, do you?  Don't you understand negotiation theory?"
