Even the diary admits that the timing here is not great and that this can't move until after HCR passes the House. So why bombard the speaker's office exactly at a time when we need her focused on passing HCR?  It makes no sense to me why this critical advocacy need happen amidst the lead-up to the vote (hopefully Sunday). As a constituent of the speaker I will make these calls and follow-up with both the DC and SF staff but I will not do so until HCR passes the House.

Hi dadanation, I hear what you are saying about the timing of this event and I can totally understand an unwillingness to participate given that.

But-- if you would call in Monday (or Tuesday if that's how long the HCR bill takes) it would mean a lot to me at least. Thanks!

      I like your sig.

        as soon as hcr passes

this does not minimize the critical nature of enda nor does it suggest that the employment protections i need and deserve are secondary -- it just is clear that i have no desire to overwhelm and get lost in the buzz.

i would rather call when i know i will be both heard and listened to.

pelosi is not the adversary here.  i hope that much is clear.  last i checked, the house has moved the obama agenda forward.  the senate?  let's just say they have not done their share...

we need to be able to target the senate.  effectively.  it will do us no good to have the house move a bill that languishes in the senate, among countless other bills that languish there now.
