    wait.

yeah, it's obnoxious and makes you 15 seconds later, and yes, they should be following the rules, but hey, you're in a hurry right?

or better yet, you prove how much smarter and better you are and just go ahead and move through that stop sign quicker, hit someone, see if that makes you feel better about those silly cyclists who don't follow the rules.

Bicycle advocacy groups are all over the place.  They try to teach people the laws.  Unfortunately, you don't need a license to ride a bike.

However, I will say, many cyclists act the way they do because many of us have been hit, swerved at, etc, and the best thing to do in many occasions is to never slow down, keep moving....

I ride a lot.  I work in the bike business, have been in it for over a decade.  Most of the cyclists I know follow the rules.  You may live in a college town.  If so, lots of those kids ride fixies, fixed-gear bikes with no brakes because they think they're cool.  If that's the case, they can't slow down or stop fast.  They shouldn't ride those bikes, they're meant to be ridden on tracks, but they do.

The point is this...as frustrating as it may be to you, if you know they're going to do it, take a deep breath and wait a few seconds. You'll be the better person and they won't get killed.

    peace.

the kids wouldn't recognize a bicycle unless it had a BMW or Lexus emblem on it.  I'm talking about 30+ year-old professionals with families who ride alone and with local clubs and routinely run every stop sign traffic light, etc., pass cars slowing for cars ahead that are turning, etc.  Just really stupid stuff and someone will get killed.  I'm just hope I'm not the driver that accidently runs into someone and has to live withit.
