Well, maybe Democratic leadership should get on that? Huh? Are they going to pull another Coakley race and wait until the last week and try to sweep in at the last week and play clean up?

What's stopping the DNC and the WH from vetting some good campaign managers and consultants and getting their asses down there to give Meek a makeover?

Not every candidate is a natural. There is still ample time to give Meek a makeover. Someone should get if Meek himself is not reaching out.

      •  Yeah, good, good, good (0+ / 0-)

The impression posters here have given me is Meek is not charismatic or ambitious and aggressive. I can imagine it might be a really good strategy to lay low right now, and let the two big dogs tear each other apart in public. (Don't get in the way when your opponents are destroying themselves.)

There's lots of low profile work that could be done right now, shaking hands, creating alliances with base groups, that could deliver big in Nov.

        •  And that's exactly what he's doing... (3+ / 0-)

the groundwork of building supporters. And he's been focused on Independents - and poll numbers show that he's winning Independents.

Telling 30+ million people to suffer the status quo is the Republican plan. Are you a Republican?

pulling for Meek, not based on knowing him much but because the "Let's slap a D on Crist and call him a Democrat!" movement makes me want to hurl.

            •  Crist is awful. He's nothing close to a Democrat (1+ / 0-)

and the whole campaign that Markos went on to try and persuade him to switch was ridiculous. Meek is a good candidate and I think he can win.
