  •  Fine. Whatever. (6+ / 0-)

Instead of merely language that says:

"There will be no public funding for abortions under this Title."

. . . there will be a subsequent bill that will say,

"There will be no, and we mean no, public funding for abortions under this Title, at all.  Not a penny!."

If that'll make these craven, self-important rubes happy and get their votes then fine.  Jeez.  Whatever.

be put in the Bill or he will hold his breath and not eat dinner. Way to go Duschpak. What a hero.

The dishonesty of this whole thing is what is unsettling. I had Lipinski's office lie to me over and over about this language leading to abortions and it really pissed me off. Their only response when I told them it does not say that was well that is not what so and so Catholic fanatic group says blah blah blah. If you really passionate about an issue, that is one thing. But inventing an issue where one doesn't nor ever did exist is just dishonest.

I am not one to jump on the purity bandwagon and scream primary for every Dem I disagree with but this guy's behavior is unacceptable.

And the really appalling thing is that failure to pass HCR means that the cost of carrying a fetus to term will continue to rise.  It's ridiculous that these anti-abortion people are holding up the bus.  If this thing fails, more women will opt for abortion because it's a cheaper alternative to having a child.
