Anybody still wondering which position is the real pro-life position? Even taking the Republican view, and narrowing life down the instant of birth, the bill under consideration promotes life.

Imaging two girls, both accidentally pregnant.

One girl is in Canada, where she can expect pre-natal care, a delivery supervised by competent doctors and nurses, and in a facility that won't treat her like a thief for trying to receive services. She's in a country where she knows her baby will receive regular checkups, and treatment if needed. It's still not an easy situation, but she can expect to survive childbirth and raise a healthy kid, maybe with the help of her parents or a big sister.

The other works at Wal-mart. She's got an health policy made out of the insurance industry's equivalent of cheap plastic. Just being pregnant could lose her her job and/or insurance. There's no way she can afford the fees for delivery. She'd end up skipping the pre-natal and well-baby visits because of co-pays. Paying cash for an abortion seems safer than trusting her life and that of a baby to the system she's in.

Which one has the baby? If the both do, which baby and mom both survive the birthday?

Why is there a Confederate Flag flying in Afghanistan?
