    ...that DeFazio will vote against it.  I don't have a problem with posturing as long as honchos know that he'll vote the right way in the end.  What I most resent is the notion that he's reading the bill--it's legalese and nobody can "read" it as if it were plain text or a novel.

      Voting against health care reform because there isn't money in it to raise Medicare payments in Oregon won't do anything to get fairness in these payments. I hope he is posturing. If his vote kills the reform, you can bet that that Obama and other Democrats won't reward Oregon with a better deal on Medicare any time soon. I did call DeFazio. I got several busy signals but got through to his Eugene office within a minute or two.

      Scott Murphy also claims he had to read the bill first. In fact, I can attest that he did read the previous bill, it was obvious at the event I went to that he did.
