    He voted against the stimulus in protest that it needed more money for mass transit. And lo and behold, the money spent on transportation has been some of the most stimulative of the entire bill.

    The stimulus passed. He knew it was going to pass. Everyone knew it. So WTF is with your grudge?

      Now, that's a grudge!

      It's just stupid to say "Others will vote for something that will improve the lives of Americans, even if it's flawed, and that frees me up to vote against it for its flaws" which is what he is essentially saying.  Well, most adults have to compromise-- why leave it up to, say, Kurt Schrader?  Other people have to be team players so DeFazio can vote his "conscience."
