If he doesn't get what he wants, he's said he's a NO vote, per "the Hill"

    •  Absolutely! He voted No because... (6+ / 0-)

...he didn't think there was enough infrastructure spending and too many tax incentives...

In doing so, he reflected the opinion of many people who comment on this site...

I'm not a DeFazio defender, because he has irked me enough over the years, but spare me the "He Voted Against Stimulus" context-free headlines...

    •  thanks for pointing that out.. (0+ / 0-)

i was going to do the same.  maybe he wants to replace kucinich as the "not good enough" congressperson.  not sure how pro-obama his district is, but let him vote "no" on healthcare after also voting "no" on the stimulus, and he won't get any help or support from the president or ofa for his re-election campaign.  maybe he doesn't need it--i'm sure he knows his district better than anyone.  but, it's also possible that he's overplaying his hand and over-hedging his bets--things change, and his constituents might not accept the "not good enough" argument on the stim. or hir.  just sayin'.
