  •  Anybody with greater than 50% Obama and Kerry (8+ / 0-)

votes should be dead to us, since there is no reason to bolt if you have the votes.

a district that is 51% Obama is not a Dem district in this environment. I can see maybe 56+ but not 51-55 not this November.

    •  Look, there were Dems who voted for HCR in (5+ / 0-)

districts which Obama didn't win. Indiana is one of them. Those who have majorities wimped out and forced others who are much  more exposed to take a huge risk.

      •  I take your point, but all I'm saying is that (0+ / 0-)

this was a very tough vote. I'm not excusing the Lipinskis that is absurd, but simply because someone came from an Obama 51% district does not mean that they are "safe" at all. That is the point. Nobody is safe up to say, 55% or so in this environment and Pelosi cut loose some to vote against for that exact reason knowing that some seats are gone no matter what. We can't know at this point who those were. So before we broad brush "anybody over 50%" we ought to think about the electoral mechanics of how those votes were cast and why. Lipinski - screw that a-hole he had no excuses. none.
