which is where the population is, and much of it is mighty blue (especially the Puget Sound megalopolis).

Anyone who has any doubt should watch the hornet's nest AG Rob McKenna thwacked when he decided to join the anti-HCR suit. Comment threads all over are full of livid voters who want him to back off.

You and I are going to spend our sunset years telling our children's children what it was once like in America when 25% of the population was batshit insane.

      •  McDermott telephone town hall (0+ / 0-)

Jim McDermott (WA-07) had a telephone "town hall" last night, with about 900 people participating.  I don't know how the rest of the participants got in, but I was contacted by Jim's office and participated.

In no way was this a representative sample of WA-07, though there were at least two questions that suggested "skepticism" about the new law (one about veterans/Tri-Care/government healthcare, another on the price tag).  Neither is deep, deep blue WA-07 representative of Washington as a whole.  But it's still instructive, I think, that a mini-poll during the call about the product of all that legislative effort showed something like 82% approval, 9% disapproval, 9% unsure.  Some portion of the disapproval, I'd wager, is purity trollery.
