    As I said above, both SLDN and HRC said "we're pleased with this initiative, we wish it went further, and we'll continue to push for full repeal."  That's a fair reading of both responses, I think.

      in terms of his response to HRC being giddy.

      I have been pretty involved with this issue since 1994, and have a relatively decent understanding of how it works and what it means.

      As I said, are the lessening of draconian measures a bad thing? No. But I don't think it's that huge an adjustment, and this insiduous policy remains in effect.

      SLDN needs to be more diplomatic in their response than I do, and I understand that.
