An editor was detained for 22 hours. This and other early info came from Wikileaks' twitter feed.

I can't find anything about the US detaining anyone.  But the stream of consciousness style is difficult to read, and I'd read some blockquote if someone else can find it.

        From that link:

WikiLeaks is currently under an aggressive US and Icelandic surveillance operation. Following/photographing/filming/detaining

One related person was detained for 22 hours. Computer’s seized. That’s http://www.skup.no

Those are from their Twitter feed two evenings ago, and you will see others related. Iceland does not really have its own dedicated intel service, and State Department and other U.S. personnel were in charge of all of these incidents this week. Let me know if you have any other questions/comments and I will try to address them when I can.

        •  The US didn't detain anyone in your links. (0+ / 0-)

Unless there's a tranlsation of the Norwegian.

One more question: can you answer my previous question?

The Wikileaks admins determined that Icelandic police detained their editor at the behest of the U.S., who had some unknown number/affiliation of personnel following them. They made this determination based on the information they've provided by way of their messages a few nights ago, the press release above, and whatever other details they have not yet released. My determination, and the determination of those I've spoken to whom I trust on such matters, is that this detention was performed at the behest of U.S. personnel, possibly the State Department.

at about 5:16 the question arises as to why Wikileaks is holding this until April 5. Am I understanding correctly? Will there be a documentary about this from Wikileaks to be released on April 5?

The newscasters find it odd that Wiki would wait, as that's not the usual operating procedure.

Also, who is this "RT" Russian Times network? All I know is I saw they are covering Jesse Ventura's now defunct show "Conspiracy Theory"?

I'm trying hard to get this, but it just isn't clicking.
