  •  When running cheating courts in college (1+ / 0-)

I dealt with students who had cheated on exams.  We made decisions on their grades in a math-based class, and gave them failing grades.  In some cases, this resulted in severe economic hardship.

So, now, when people do this, they must not only deal with students that are upset, but possibly armed thanks to the NRA MORONS?

This is a vile and stupid idea.  The gunnuts are going to lead to more dead people.

    •  Hint (8+ / 0-)

Even without this law, they could very well be armed anyway. They would, however, be armed illegally.

OTOH, the permit means that they're the kind of person who is going to jump through the right hoops to carry. My guess, and this is just a guess, is that someone like that isn't so likely to cheat. Admittedly, this is a guess, but the crime rates for concealed carry permit holders vs. the general population suggests this.

    •  if someone is going to bring a gun to your court (6+ / 0-)

they are going to do so anyway, whether the campus allows concealed carry or not.

I don't know where you teach but where I do there are no pat-downs for entering the campus, and thousands of people enter and exit through probably a hundred of different routes every day.

      •  Concealed carry ipso facto evidence of bad intent (0+ / 0-)

and so you get arrested.  Thus, people would not usually carry.

In this moronic future, concealed carry would be allowed, and thus it would be much more common.

This fantasy that most people wake up and think "Should I break the law on campus by concealing a firearm?" demonstrates that you really understand almost nothing about how normal people think.

Carry a gun, get expelled from campus - that is a deterrent for almost everyone.

In the future, we will not have that deterrent.  Insanity.
